Single Leg Runner"s Squat

The purpose of this exercise is to increase the stabilization and strength of the entire body while moving through a running pattern. The ability to maintain stabilization on a single leg improves the ability to produce power while the lower extremity is flexed and extended. The speed and intensity of this exercise can be manipulated to target specific training goals. It is important to master the single leg runner"s squat under minimal speed and intensity before attempting to challenge with greater speed and intensity.
