The Hive - Organic Dessert Parlour Concept.

This Projects Concept was based on Einstein"s Bee Theory: “If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live. No more bees, no more pollination … no more men!”

From this theory, I designed a concept for an Organic Dessert Parlour in which honey which was produced on site would be used in the recipes for their desserts. Bees are encouraged to enter the building through tubes in the flower baskets on the exterior of the building, which then lead into glass containers on the interior walls.

These containers provide an aesthetically pleasing live display for customers and staff as well as a source of fresh and organic honey.

The organic theme is reflected through the interior by the use of recycled pallet furniture, iron staircase and glass bottle and jar light fixtures.
