Colourful Migration-Themed Installations : winter stations

Winter Stations Features Sculptures Along Lake Ontario

Winter Stations is an annual design exhibition that takes place along Toronto"s beachfront. More specifically, it is located along Lake Shore Boulevard East. The playful, community-enhancing programme is held by three local studios -- RAW Design, Ferris + Associates and Curio.

The theme of this year"s Winter Stations is migration. The submitted work consists of four pavilions, as well as two temporary structures that have been conceived of by students from the Sheridan and Humber colleges.

The artworks are an in-depth look at Winter Stations" theme. The creatives explored all facets of migration -- from human to animal. The submitted work offered commentary on a vast variety of politically and socially oriented topics, including the "shaping of our global society" and the "exchange of ideas."
