Organic Raw Almond Milk Recipe: GMO & Dairy Free, Wholesome & Great Tasting
This healthful milk, when made with raw, organic, unpasteurized almonds, closely resembles human breast milk making it a better alternative for infants than commercial formulas. For the rest of us it is great tasting and healthy with no GMO or hormones.
The leftover almond pulp/meal can be used to make facial and body scrubs. You can also use the almond meal to make brownies or dehydrator cookies; or just dehydrate the almond meal in a dehydrator to make almond flour for use in a variety of bread, cake, cookie and dessert recipes.

RECIPE:
The Night Before
Cover 1 cup of raw, organic, unpasteurized almonds in filtered water and soak overnight.
Note: Soaking raw, organic, unpasteurized almonds releases all of their beneficial enzymes and nutrients making them available to you. You can make almond milk with almonds you buy at the grocery store. It will taste great and will still provide you with some vitamins and minerals but it will be lacking in beneficial digestive enzymes. The heat from the pasteurization process kills the digestive enzymes in the almonds. Even so, enzyme-less almond milk is a better alternative to cow"s or goat"s milk.
The Next Morning
4 cups filtered water
3 or 4 Medjool Dates
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Dash of Sea Salt
Drain and rinse soaked almonds (or save the flora rich water for use in fruit or green smoothies); place in vita-mix blender with 4 cups filtered water, enough dates to suit your preference for sweetness, and the vanilla. Turn blender on and gradually increase speed to high. Blend until mixture looks milky; about 20-30 seconds.
Use several layers of cheesecloth over a glass bowl or wide mouth mason jar to strain the milk from the almond meal; or use a nut milk bag (preferred). Refrigerate. Shake before using.
Makes about 4-1/2 cups milk
