3 Single Leg Exercises To Improve Balance Strength & Power



Having incredible strength, balance and the ability to create power in a single leg stance is what creates elite athletes in any sport! It is also the skill that prevents injuries, in particular ACL tear or rupture and ankle sprains common to most sports requiring twisting and turning.

I have used these 3 in particular as these are the most common exercises people struggle to master when first shown. There are many others that are also difficult but these 3 all have unique skills and requirements that differ greatly.
The first exercise is more about balance and proprioception
The second is about integration, coordination, strength and stability
The last exercise is all about power, agility and precision timing.
This gives you an idea about how to gradually progress your program and develop skills slowly to enhance more difficult situations.
