Briana Alfaro"s Kickstarter project, http://kck.st/KDDxlV, runs June 1-30. She"s raising funds to cook with old ladies in Latin America. She begins her journey in her father"s hometown, Zacatecas, Mexico this September. If the Kickstarter campaign is a success, she"ll trek all the way to Argentina--exploring her Latin roots, visiting organic farms and cooking with old ladies. She"s writing a book of stories, recipes and photos, "When Spices Fly" to share the experience.
