00.00” Cuando alguien se acerca al pabellón de España, lo primero que sorprende es su estructura exterior, y su forma, que recuerda a la curva de vida de los vegetales, enlazando así con el lema de Floriade, que es “ cradle to cradle”, y también los materiales empleados: madera y materiales orgánicos fácilmente reciclables. Una vez que el visitante entra en el Pabellón, sorprende en primer lugar el colorido, la música, la calidad de los videos que se proyectan, y también la forma de exponer los productos naturales, como una sorpresa, como tesoros ocultos en el Pabellón.
0.48” España es el país con mayor variedad de ecosistemas de Europa. En el Pabellón de España en Floriade 2012 proponemos un recorrido a través de esa diversidad natural. Para ello hemos dividido el país en diez regiones naturales, y para cada una de ellas mostramos sus paisajes, sus cultivos, los diferentes productos que se obtienen, y hacemos también hincapié en los platos más característicos que se pueden cocinar con esos cultivos. El público nos pregunta donde se pueden conseguir esos produtos, y también nos preguntan por las recetas, y de hecho estamos mostrándolas ahora en el Pabellón.
1.28” Son muchas las preguntas que hace el público en el Pabellón. Muchas están relacionadas con los materiales de construcción; hay mucho interés por el suelo, que se ha hecho expresamente para el Pabellón. También sobre la posibilidad de encontrar en Holanda los productos que se muestran; nos preguntan dónde pueden comprar esos productos. Y en tercer lugar yo destacaría la gastronomía. Nos preguntan por las recetas, y de hecho estamos mostrándolas ahora en el Pabellón.

00:00 When you approach the Spanish Pavilion, the first thing that surprises you is its external structure and form. This reminds us of the life curve of plants and links up with Floriade’s slogan, "cradle to cradle". Also, the materials used - wood and organic materials - are easily recyclable. Once the visitor enters the Pavilion, he or she is first struck by the colourful atmosphere, the music and the quality of the videos projected. The way that the natural products are exhibited is also surprising, like hidden treasures in the Pavilion.
0:48 Spain is the country with the greatest variety of ecosystems in Europe. In the Spanish Pavilion at Floriade 2012, we offer a tour through this natural diversity. So we"ve divided the country into ten natural regions. In each, we display the region’s landscapes, crops, the products that derive from them, and the most typical dishes that are prepared with those crops. The public asks us where they can get the recipes for those products, and in fact they´re on display here at the Pavilion.
1:28 There are many questions raised by the public at the Pavilion. Many are related to the building materials. There is a lot of interest in the specially-made flooring for the Pavilion. People also want to know if the products on display can be found in the Netherlands and where they can be bought. And thirdly, I would highlight the gastronomy. We are asked for the recipes and indeed they are also displayed in the Pavilion.
